Project Details

The upgraded system provided respiratory oxygen as well as hyperbaric oxygen. The following new equipment was installed:

  • Chart HS-13000 Horizontal Main Tank
  • Chart HS-3000 Reserve Tank
  • Cryoquip VAI 836-F Vaporizers (3)
  • ACME Vaporizer Switching Manifold
  • ACME Hospital Control Manifold
  • ACME Hyperbaric Manifold
  • ACME Fill Assembly

The project was complicated due to the necessity of keeping the existing system operational while constructing the pad for the new system, which required excavation into the adjacent hillside. Phasing was necessary to allow swapping of new equipment for old equipment, and to facilitate repair of deteriorated concrete. Finn Design Group (now merged with PASE) prepared Structural and Mechanical Construction Documents for the system, including drawing and structural calculations for the new concrete pad and retaining walls. Equipment Special Seismic Certifications were prepared under separate agreement with the gas supplier.
