Professional Experience

Mr. Bruce is a licensed Structural Engineer with extensive knowledge and experience with the inner workings of Industrial and Mission Critical facilities. He has worked as the project structural engineer-of-record on the design of multiple 500,000+ SF facilities throughout the United States as well as the build-out of many other sites. Mr. Bruce has worked on the build-out and retrofit of over 30 mission critical sites across the country, ranging from MEP equipment anchorage to structural strengthening of an existing building to structural design of new buildings. Working closely with contractors, he has helped in the BIM process in locating structural elements and building highly custom support structures that do not interfere with other MEP systems.

A self-proclaimed “data center electrical enthusiast,” Mr. Bruce has served as the project structural engineer on the design of multiple data center electrical substations. Working closely with the electrical contractors, Mr. Bruce is able to assist the design team from day 1 to final commissioning. By providing preliminary foundation sizes during the bid process, he was able to help an electrical contractor dramatically trim their concrete quote and help secure the awarding of the project.

To date, Mr. Bruce has performed structural engineering services for over 9 million SF of mission critical space and 650 Mega Watts of power.

Why did you choose structural engineering?

Like many fellow structural engineers, it all started with a deep love of LEGO during my adolescent years which evolved into wanting to design structures but still do a lot of math… so structural engineering was the perfect blend of my professional passions.
